R1234yf Climate Control Diagnostics: Moisture Contamination & Refrigerant Purity

R1234yf refrigerant has a Global Warming Potential of less than 1, but is highly sensitive to moisture contamination. Even 20 parts-per-million of water inside the loop reacts with PAG oil to form corrosive hydrofluoric acid.

Our recovery stations utilize infrared gas analyzers to certify 98.5%+ refrigerant purity before any gas enters our machines or your vehicle compressor, safeguarding the electric variable-displacement valve.

A/C Recovery Protocol

Execute automated 30-minute deep vacuum decay leak test.

Analyze refrigerant gas purity sample with digital infrared spectrometer.

Recharge refrigerant to exact manufacturer gram weight specification.

Verify sub-42°F (5.5°C) center vent discharge temperature at 1,500 RPM.
